I can not believe it's been this long since I wrote. It's been
the craziest year of my life I tell ya.
Here's the latest.

1. New Arrival
Am I one proud Dad or what! On May 8th I was given the blessing
of a son. Lucas Wentworth. He's adorable. I can't say how much
this has changed my life. I feel a little more complete knowing
he's just around. Things are a little hectic around the house
these days but after three weeks things are starting to look like
routine. Which frees up a few moments of planned time on weekends
to get something done creatively or otherwise. It's busy but the
most beautiful busy I could ever ask for.
P.S Lucas has got so much hair and really long fingers. He already
looks like a rock star

2. Reviews and Charting in Australia
Comstock Records has been promoting my CD "Change"
to radio and reviewers all over Europe and Australia. It's been
getting some pretty cool attention and my name is popping up all
over the place now. I know I never wrote to tell anyone but back
in February "Make way for me" was #21 in the top 200
songs being played in Europe.
The most impressive thing was seeing my name like this
#18 Alan Jackson
#19 Lonestar
#20 Keith Urban
#21 Noel Wentworth
#22 Tim McGraw
Whole Moly i'm in with the big boys.
Last week, Britians number one country music newspaper had this
to say about my CD
Noel Wentworth “Change” (Comstock).
Young Noel, a very talented Canadian, did most of the work on
this his current release. He wrote all eleven songs, provided
the vocals, played most of the instruments and produced the sessions.
I think to label Noel “country” is to under sell his
talents. The content of “Change” is pop / rock with
country and folk influences bubbling under the surface. I enjoy
all the songs particularly “Make Way For Me”, “This
Is Where I Make Believe”, “Who Will Find My Dreams
Tomorrow” and “Good Times, Good Friends, Some Beer
And A Radio”. www.NoelWentworth.com
Not bad considering he gave some of the others in this issue
some not so good press.
Also I've been popping up in the charts recently. Here's a chart
of a pretty big net radio show based out of Australia that got
reported to me this week.
TH LW HP WI COUNTRY
01 01 01 02 "Wild Whiskey Woman" - Ray Bruce
02 - 02 01 "A week in the country" - Ernie Ashworth
03 - 03 01 "Ill drink the 5th" - Joel Fry
04 04 04 02 "Grace Again" - John Steed
05 07 05 02 "Make way for me" - Noel Wentworth
06 - 06 01 "One more for the ditch" - Jim Rorie
07 - 07 01 "You cant take the texas out of me" - Brandon
Lynn Shane
I've also been popping up alot in Spain, Germany, Austria, The
Netherlands, Scotland, England, France, Belgium , Denmark , Holland
, Scandinavia and a little bit in the U.S.

3. Our music school rocks!
In the time I last wrote I started a music school with my wife
Lora. The Wentworth Music Education Center. It's been a successful
year for us there as well. We're just gearing up for our year
end concert . This will allow about 200 of our students opportunity
to perform on stage for two shows . The audience will be between
200-400 people at a time.
I have a vision for what I would like our school to be like in
the future .One day (hopefully soon) I would love to see all the
students be able to experience being on stage not just pretending
, but being rock stars with the whole lights smoke and rush of
a large audience (several times a year as a community event) ....
but one day at a time. I can honestly say we are on the way to
being able to help students feel great about music and help shape
how our community views live music as well . I hope this (not
too distant) dream I have encourages the whole local music scene.

4. Back from Japan
I got the opportunity at the beginning of April to head over
to Japan and Perform at Expo 2005 in Nagoya Japan.
Check out my pictures here. Aside from touring all over the
place, I got to perform at a fantastic house concert , For the
Kasugai City banquet, twice at Expo and even sat in for a whole
set at a Beatles bar playing songs with a Japanese Beatles impersonator.
The job of Canadian ambassador was great. I really enjoyed my
home stay family "the Yamada's". Got to pick up a little
Japanese. Became even more of a fan of the food and found I'm
allergic to Green Tea (powdered- instant green stuff)

5. Kelowna's Centennial CD and
Make a Star Vol 4 compilations
Whew just when you thought I was done talking your ear off. I
also have the extreme honor to have my Song "Just one year"
Immortalized on Kelowna's 100 birthday celebration CD. This is
a huge honor considering Kelowna is my hometown is where I was
born and raised.
Last week I received copies of Make a star Vol4 . My song "Something
about me's changed" was placed on this International compilation
because of a contest I won last year. It will be on sale at Wherehouse
one, Strawberries Music, FYE , and Coconuts as well as the make
a star web site very shortly.

6. Scorpion Awards
Lastly, I would like to thank everyone for voting for me for
this years Scorpion Awards. I am now made the cut and been nominated
for Album of the Year, Country Artist of the Year, Song of the
Year and Songwriter of the Year. Wish me luck as it goes to the
next panel of judges. It means the world that I have been recognized
by the musical community this way. I've been slugging it out in
the bars and clubs all over BC / Overseas for almost 15 years
(of having fun I might add!) .

Between A new baby , The music school , My latest CD / Promotion
, Songwriting and Recording ,and Traveling You can't say this
musician isn't driven and goal oriented. I do think i should take
a few weeks off soon and try to relax (literally doctors orders).
You might say you can have too much of a good thing in this case
. I have the tendency to push myself a little too hard when it
comes to the things I enjoy. Heh Heh , I just have so much to
share with everyone that's all :-)
Till next time,
Noel
